Evergreen State Fair Master Plan
K/O Fairground Planners completed a $42 Million, 13-month Master Plan study for the 300-acre Evergreen State Fairgrounds in 2016. The planning included infrastructure review of 55 buildings, market review, a financial analysis and fairground design and layout recommendations. The annual 12-Day Evergreen State Fair takes place at the end of August, hosts an average of 350,000 visitors, is a major destination offering first-class agricultural, educational and recreational opportunities. A major challenge with this plan was reducing sound in animal areas from the NASCAR track in the center of the fairgrounds, and the flight path of the nearby airport’s runway.
