Keffer/Overton (K/O) supplied the Master Plan study for the Evergreen State Fairgrounds. The annual 12-Day Evergreen State Fair takes place at the end of August, and is a major destination offering first-class agricultural, educational and recreational opportunities. The fairgrounds property includes over 300 acres, 55 buildings, a racetrack, museum, RV park, equestrian area, livestock area, exhibition buildings, and protected wetlands.
The new multi-phased plan will act as a guide to develop the fairgrounds, defining the vision, business and operational goals of the facility for the next 20 years. The goal of the plan is to focus on the tradition of the Fair, enhance the current lines of business, and provide a first–class venue for the annual celebration. Based on projected revenues the plan will be divided up into multiple phases.
