Expo Building and Master Plan

Canyon County Expo Building and Planning

Canyon County Fairgrounds

Caldwell, Idaho

K/O was hired in partnership with a local team to Plan, Design, and oversee construction for the new 45,000 SF Exposition Building planned for the Canyon County Fairgrounds in Caldwell, Idaho. K/O prepared a Master plan in 2002 which included the new building. K/O was also involved in another Master Planning effort that explored relocating the Fairgrounds in 2004. The relocation plan ultimately presented itself as too costly and was scrapped. The Fair chose to stay at its current location and through many years of fund raising and applying for grants enough money was saved to construct the new expo building called “The Center”.

The new Exposition Building is a multi-purpose structure that will house the Fair offices and is flexible enough to use for the annual fair and off-season for events such as: board/company meetings, trade shows, and festivals. The large pre-function space is also perfect to host a wide range of community events.
